How To Look Hot AND Cool All At Once

Welcome back friends, to the February edition of our Ageless Style Linkup.

If you are new to our blog, WELCOME! We are so very happy you’ve joined us.

Each month, our Ageless Style Bloggers take turns selecting a theme and then we all go to town putting our own creative spins on the theme du jour.

Our stylish friend Jodie from J Touch of Style selected puffer jackets and vests and we’ve all enjoyed playing in our closets with looks for today’s linkup party.

Puffer jackets and vests are not new on the fashion horizon. The new wave of cozy outerwear has had a serious makeover along the way and is a rare trend that is flattering to women of every beautiful age.

Today’s puffer jackets and vests come in a rainbow of scrumptious colors, styles and designs. It’s the ultimate way to stay toasty warm, while looking uber cool all at the same time. But be forewarned, your daughter might just need to “borrow” your fabulous puffer jacket!

Disclaimer: These photos are a throwback to one of my very first fashion photo shoots as a blogger. I am currently recovering from surgery, but didn’t want to miss out on the fun. With love, Puff Mama (get it?).

Here I paired one of my favorite puffer vests with a tunic-style mock-turtle, dark-washed jeans and booties.

The subtle puffs are sewn into this vest, adding texture to the look.

I so love a jacket or vest with a built in rainy day hood with contrast color.

Our February co-host, is a blogging buddy of mine and I absolutely adore her heart and style. You probably know Lana from her blog My New Happy, where writes about the struggles of empty nesting and more. Although this beauty lives in the rain rich Pacific Northwest, she is a ray of beautiful sunshine and I encourage you to stop by her cyber home for a cup of joy.

You have the best hair! I know we are talking puffer vests and jackets but just wanted to say that first thing. And how bout that vest? With the fur lining and hood, it really takes the puffer vest to a new, warmer level. I wish, wish, wish I had bought one of Old Navy’s white vests in the fall.

Lana is a sweet heart. I know having an empty nest was very difficult for her at first but I think she has adjusted so well. Love her vest look, too. And those tights!!

    Hope you’re feeling better.

I like the puffer vest with the stripes – so preppy but funky too.

Hi Jennie, thanks so much. I shopped my closet for this look and the vest is still relevant ~ love it when that happens.

      Sending big hugs your way,

I’m SO glad you were feeling well enough to join in. And using an older photo is proof of how classic these puffers can be. This outfit would be perfect for right now. And I bet for 5 years from now too!!
Heal well, and sending lots of hugs!!
    XOXO
