This next chapter in our lives can leave us with a wide array of emotions. You might be feeling unsure what that next chapter looks like for you. On the other hand (complete with chic accessories) you might be gleefully dancing like no one’s watching with your new found freedom.

No matter where you are on the path to midlife, you are not alone. Catherine Grace O is not only with us on this journey, she’s blazing a new, exciting trail to reinvent the perception of the “midlife” woman.

Catherine has created an uplifting community, Forever Fierce The Midlife Revolution, filled with fabulous midlife women just like US.

Forever Fierce Day is a celebration of all women who are celebrating midlife. Today, 50 bloggers have asked hundreds of social media influencers like you, one simple question:

What does it mean to be FIERCE at midlife?

I am honored to present to you my midlife social media friends from across the globe, who have been kind enough to share their own thoughts on this intriguing question.

Being fierce in midlife is about celebrating who you are at this stage in your life and fearlessly expressing yourself.

For me, being FIERCE in midlife means a couple of things…Knowing that I already try to live my life full of compassion and grace for every living thing, it means to live unapologetically with your choices and now I feel the freedom that comes with that!

As I approach my 50s I am fiercely committed to living in the present moment as much as I can because looking to the future causes unnecessary stress and thinking about the past produces regret.

Also, we must remember that it is just as important to forgive ourselves if we stray off path occasionally. We must fiercely love and protect ourselves first and take care of who we are and not apologize for it! This will give us the strength help others while still valuing and taking care of ourselves first.

For me to be fierce in my age means several things:
1. Stylish appearance- stylish clothes, hairstyle, grooming
2. My job-as a stylist and a photo model
3. Active lifestyle, especially my dance classes
4. Constant self-development; attending seminars, master classes, reading, attending theaters, exhibitions and concerts
5. Communicating with my friends, including younger ones

To have a style you have to find out who you are and it took me many many years. Now I feel myself. Now I am sure I want to follow my passion for fashion. Fashion is not just clothes but expressing yourself, your personality and nature. I want to enjoy every moment of my life still remaining mother and wife.

When I think of being Fierce in mid life I think of my style icon Diane Von Furstenberg whom recently turned 71, she was also named the “Godmother” of the statue of liberty for good reason, she is a force to be reckoned with, she epitomizes strong women, her age has nothing to do with her achievements its just a number.

Being Fierce in midlife is more exciting now than ever before. When I look through my Instagram posts they are full of strong encouraging beautiful women some the same age as me, not models but normal women wearing their fashion their way confidently. I often think OMG they look amazing, “they’re on fire” and instead of hiding behind their age they are celebrating it.

In the word’s of Helen Reddy, “I am woman hear me roar in numbers too big to IGNORE” being Fierce in midlife is definitely not the invisible age it once was.

Age ~ 55

I think I have always been fierce, but I didn’t know how to express it for most of my life. As a woman in midlife, I would say do not wait so long to express it. Part of being fierce even in midlife for me is through strength, kindness, and loving myself and others. But do not mistake my kindness for weakness. For, I never really realized it, but I am fearless and fierce when I need to be.

To be FIERCE means to be unapologetic in all areas of your life #livecolorfully #shinebright never let anyone dull your sparkle just because your are in your 50’s, this is the time in my life to NOT SLOW DOWN.

I hate the word retire life is short so live it to the fullest and don’t care what others think, it’s freeing to live your life that way.

Age ~ 63

It’s wonderful to achieve this age and I feel so blessed. I turn 64 in July, but some days you have to push yourself to never give up.

Makeup and fashion have been a beautiful part of my life. I love all the beautiful things in life and take nothing for granted.

Fierce to me means resilience in all we face. Tenacity to see things through and to care for ourselves. Daily walks, 2/3 full when eating (use smaller plate), work veggies in, meditate (guided medidations on YouTube are wonderful). Write down your feelings or draw them out and keep a diary. Forgive yourself for not being perfect. It is OK!

I hope you’ve enjoyed the heart-felt words of your new friends from across the globe. To meet even more fabulous and FIERCE midlife women, we welcome you with open arms to join us in the Forever Fierce Community.

So what say YOU, my friends? What does it mean to YOU to be FIERCE at midlife?. Feel free to share your thoughts below in the Comment Section. We welcome YOUR voice to the conversation!

Jonet, you really have some amazing women featured here! I adore Michele and I was so happy to see her here. This has been the most amazing experience participating in this campaign and reading about all of these fierce women. I have only recently arrived in midlife, but I am loving all of it (well except the menopause)! What a journey this life is and how much more enriched it can be when we women empower each other along the way! Great post, my friend. Stay fierce!
