Your Over 40 Style Guide
Life is a beautiful thing. As the years pass ~ oh so quickly, I find it’s the simple things that often bring the most joy. A phone call or hug from my children, time spent with my best friend on the plant, who also happens to be my husband and birds serenading me in the yard.
I enjoy the splendor of each new season and the flourish of changes that transform the landscape from bountiful flowers, to falling leaves. Joy, joy topped with more joy.
Beauty can also be found in the simplicity of an outfit too. Although I hopped on the bright and happy color bandwagon long ago, there is a quiet sophistication in a classic black and white look.
I shopped my closet for this work wear approved number. I’m wearing a pair of black slacks with pockets (love it), a simple black top layered with a knit blazer sprinkled with lovely detailing ~ well done, White House Black Market.
I’ve added one of my favorite handbags, this gorgeous bag from the fabulous Ted Baker and a pair of Coach pumps to complete the look. A few understated pieces of jewelry and I’m ready for a business meeting, day at the office or casual cocktail party.
