I had the honor of having an award-winning makeup artist glam me up for a photo shoot not long ago, and to apply my foundation, she used a magical air brush.  The end result was flawless, a look I wanted to achieve again and again.

Let’s be real, face time with a make up artist is a luxury that most of us can’t afford on weekly basis.  Fortunately for me, I got the opportunity to test drive Michael Todd Beauty’s SonicBlend Makeup Brush, which promised a “natural airbrushed finish every time”.

Well Michael Todd, it’s time to put your claims to the test (oh how I love test driving beauty products!).

The SonicBlend Makeup Brush comes in four color options and I chose the Tortoise Shell, which fits my wild child personality.  It arrived in a sturdy box complete with a handy dandy instruction book, which took me through the steps on how to use this beauty tool.  It also comes with a recharging cord, so no batteries!

To properly test this beauty tool, I applied my favorite foundation, Tarte BB Tinted Primer with my finger tips.

Using a brush, I applied the ultimate blush, Too Faced’s Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush in Peach Beach.

After washing my face, it’s time to give the SonicBlend Makeup Brush a whirl.

My first impression is that it’s sleek, lightweight design is easy to hold and the gentle vibrating soft bristles allowed me to apply less makeup, blending easily onto every area of my face.

Can you see how smooth and flawless my foundation looks after using the SonicBlend Makeup Brush?

Next, I wiped off the brush and tested it on applying my blush.

Ooooh, LOVE! My blush went on smoothly and looks far more natural and vibrant than the brush method.

From the comfort of my own home, this beauty tool managed to camouflage my wrinkles, age spots and imperfections, I was flabbergasted!  Flawless skin at my age, was no longer a pipe dream!woman makeup close up

I’m going to have to give the Michael Todd SonicBlend Makeup Brush a standing ovation! Any tool that will allow me to achieve a professionally applied makeup look at home, is pure genius!

Awesome! I am always intrigues by airbrush makeup and this is a neat gadget that I may have to give a whirl. I am put off by having to use the special little pods, etc for the actual airbrush, so this seems like a great alternative! Great review- Love your blog!

I agree Melissa, special pods keep you locked into one company. I prefer to use the products that work for me, and that’s one of the things I really loved about this beauty tool. Thanks so much for your comment. Xo Jonet
