glowing essence

Have you ever removed your makeup, slathered on the latest and greatest anti-aging night cream and consequentially dribbled coffee down your chin in shocked disbelief after a peek in the mirror the next morning? Seemingly out of nowhere, there’s a new or deeper wrinkle that is decidedly making a statement on your face. Oh mighty wrinkles, is it possible to request a day pass?

Since I have no problem declaring war on the afore mentioned over 40 skin issues we face (pun intended), I’ve got an anti-aging product graveyard under my bathroom sink ~ where products that receive 4 Pinocchios go to die. Sometimes, it’s downright scary the lengths we’re willing to go to for an opportunity to drink from the fountain of youth.

Years ago, Dr. Oz did a show called 5 Secrets to Cheat Your Age, in which he featured five plastic surgeons who shared inside secrets on how to drop a decade without going under the knife (it got my attention). The number one topical ingredient two of the featured plastic surgeons raved about was Vitamin C serum. As we age, we lose Vitamin C, but there’s an easy way to replenish that supply topically, which these doctors described as an “essential” anti-aging weapon.

Another important anti-aging product is Retinol. According to Debra Jaliman, M.D., a New York City dermatologist, “Retinol is a tried and true ingredient that really works”.

So for those of us at home keeping score, that’s two different must-have anti-aging products that combined, help us battle wrinkles, sagging skin and age spots.

I was given the opportunity to try a new anti-aging serum that combines both these powerful wrinkle fighting weapons, plus a whole lot more. I’ve been test-driving this serum for thirty plus days now (LVE) but we’ll discuss that later. Here’s what the product promises to do:

Brightens and Clarifies Skin Tone
Diminishes Age Spots and Discoloration
Reduces Wrinkle Density, Depth and Volume
Accelerates Cellular Turnover and Regeneration
Boosts Collagen and Elastin Production
Increases Moisture Retention
Fights Inflammation and Promotes Healing

Glowing Essence Complete Serum was created because the owner and creator, Tammy Claussen, who is a card-carrying member of our over 50 and fab club, felt beauty product labels were misleading and formulas were ineffective. Many of the active ingredients were not used in concentrations high enough to yield real results, in her opinion, and after many years of expertise in the beauty industry, she felt there had to be a better way.

Investing two years into research and development, Tammy then went to work with one of the industry’s leading chemists to select the most effective ingredients available worldwide.

Glowing Essence Complete Serum was designed to work in conjunction with our own natural skin functions and enhance them. Tammy explains, “The skin on your face naturally renews itself every 28 days. The innovative ingredients contained in Glowing Essence Complete Serum work together to stimulate the skin to rebuild itself naturally” she reports.

What you won’t find in this serum is the controversial ingredient HYDROQUINONE, an aggressive, harsh chemical used in some other anti-aging product lines. Tammy explains, “In 2006, the FDA revoked the approval of this controversial chemical for use in over-the-counter beauty products due to potential health concerns”.

We asked the Glowing Essence Complete Serum creator how she came up with idea to create such a multi-tasking product.

Tammy’s answer was simple, “A couple things, really.  Number one, I hate having to use ten products when you can achieve the same results with just one.  And two, the older I get, the more I realize I don’t have time to waste”.

*Disclosure: I’ve always promised total honesty and transparency with you. This product was developed and is sold by my sister-in-law’s company.   We were given the serum to test and review.  This is my honest review of the product.  This post contains Affiliate links.  To read our Affiliate Disclosure, click HERE.

I was so impressed with this serum that on day two of my product test drive I wrote about it on the FCO50 Facebook Page. My skin was glowing, that gorgeous, dewy healthy look we are all seeking. I love that after applying the serum, my tinted moisturizer glides on like a breeze and my skin simply glows.

It did take several weeks, but I’ve noticed my skin looks and feels more moisturized, which has been an issue for me since it’s been very hot here this summer.

I also had a small scar on my face from when I had a mole removed when I was a teen. I’ve noticed the scar is starting to fade, which is an unexpected bonus!

The company offers free shipping and returns, no questions asked in case the serum doesn’t work for you. I’m a fan of no-risk product return policies.

The pump dispenser requires some work to get it to function properly. You may need to unscrew the dispenser from the bottle, put the dispenser back on the bottle then pump it a few times to get it work.  **Update, Glowing Essence has replaced the defective pumps and all future orders will not have this problem.

I used to use a Vitamin C serum + a retinol product. Now I use only
Glowing Essence Complete Serum which is saving me money and so far, proving better results. I will keep you posted as I continue to use this product, but so far, an enthusiastic thumbs up!
