Have you ever secretly yearned for the opportunity to attend an iconic designer’s fashion show?  Well my friends, today you have front row seats to a mini St. John Knits fall fashion show just in time to give us the inside scoop on what to wear this fall/winter!

Established and earning much deserved accolades since 1962, with a loyal celebrity following like Cindy Crawford, Kate Winslet, Robin Roberts and Sofia Vergara, St. John Knits is a brand known for the highest quality knits and sportswear.

So strap on your Jimmy Choo shoes (or your favorite slippers) sit back and enjoy your front row seat to the St. John Fall Fashion Show in Greenville, South Carolina!  We’ll have your frosty glass of sweet tea and a slice of sweet potato pie to you faster than a hot knife through butter (read that sentence real s l o w and with a thick southern accent)!

This enchanting oyster colored Floral Cloque Topper and embellished Floral Cloque Knit Dress were absolute show-stoppers.  As our beautiful model walked her runway and around the room, excited whispers, oohs and ahhs filled the air.

This two-toned Aliso Knit Dress is absolutely divine with embellishments that take this classic stunner over the top.  Here, they’ve added an optional matching knit coat.  This was hands down one of my favorite looks of the show.  So chic, elegant and utterly unforgetable.

The cape is trending again this season with designers like Christian Dior and Burberry all showcasing their own versions.

St. John, always ahead of trends, took this elegant, stunning black (they call it “Caviar”) capelet and turned up the glamour volume by adding a sprinkling of gorgeous sparkles (also trending this fall season).

If I could choose only one piece from the entire collection, this might just be the one.

♥ TREND ALERT ♥ Military inspired pieces intermingle beautifully with St. John’s knitwear in their fall/winter 2016 collection and this Sparkle Shantung Jacket almost had me standing at attention in total admiration.

I fell in love with this sporty black (caviar) jacket with enticing gold sequins strategically placed to create the ultimate dramatic look.  St. John tells us it was inspired by an Imperial military uniform and it certainly inspired me!

Although this beautiful Anastasia Knit two-piece Suit wasn’t modeled during the fashion show, I was so impressed with the gorgeous knit fabric and buttons, I had to get up close and personal.  This suit comes in both red and blue.

St. John Knits has had an indisputable reputation for classic elegant style with stunning detailing since 1962.  But did you know, that year ago, women would actually remove the ornate buttons off their jackets and wear them as jewelry?

After seeing several pieces up close and personal, I can see why.

It was love at first sight for me with this feminine lace and knit tunic.  The detailing, fabric pairings and lovely sleeves, were just a feast for the eyes.

Our beautiful model looked like a million dollars in this silver and caviar beaded gown.  Talk about glamorous!

Taking the stylish black and gold jacket (above) a step further, St. John created this dramatic matte shine Milano Knit Gown with gold sequins on both the front and back of this stunning gown.  Truly a head-turner.

After the fashion show, I couldn’t resist trying on a few of my favorite looks.  I was actually surprised and impressive by how well St. John is skilled at making ANY body style look and feel chic.

Case in point: our model was a striking 6 feet tall and you can see in the above photo how enchanting she looks in this jacket.  By contrast, I am 5’2″, and while I don’t hold a candle to the lovely model, the jacket still works with my petite size.

This classic oyster knit dress and jacket (sold separately) could go from day to evening with the change of shoes and jewelry.  Don’t you just love fashion that transitions easily with style and pizzaz?

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to meet Gail Zizzo, District Manager for St. John Knits in the South.  She was warm and gracious and rocking a dynamite tweed St. John dress with black fringe.

So what can you expect to see this fall/winter season from St. John Knits?  Scrumptious layered pieces that you can mix and match to your heart’s content.  Romantic, sporty and elegance in shades of oyster, caviar, red (paprika), navy and gray.  To sum it all up…. expect to be dazzled!

Which was your favorite St. John Knits look from our mini fashion show?  We’d love to hear your thoughts, tell us all about it in the Comment Section below.

Enjoy your fashion journey, darlings,

XO, Jone’t
