Every now and then, my husband and I are invited to a special event or party. Clearly those occasions call for fashion that is not only special, but rather something elegant, exceptional and utterly unforgettable.
I knew which designer to call on for a recent event, ST. JOHN KNITS, with a reputation for classic, chic knitwear since the brand’s inception in 1962. St. John has a talent for redefining luxury and classic style. Taking advice from the legendary Karl Lagerfeld, who once said, “One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a little black dress”. Clearly, a black St. John Knit dress would be my choice for the evening!
One of the many things I love about this St John stunner, is the brilliant splash of drama they’ve added to the sleeves of the dress ~ talk about making an entrance! This is a LBD with the glam volume turned all the way UP, my friends! I added a black silk clutch with silver and rhinestone brooch, a triple strand of pearls and my favorite Luca Lorenzini bracelets in two colors to complete the look.
So my date with St. John went smashing and I’m quite certain I’ll be bold enough to ask for a second date! I know, I should wait for him to call, but I’m not getting any younger, darlings!
