YouTube Magnetic Lash Product Review
Most women dream of having those lush, full lashes so fabulous and long they gently brush the lenses of our sunglasses (if only).
You know the enviable luscious lashes of which I speak and dream about at times. Heck, if I had them, I might even batt those babies to inquire about a complimentary rental car upgrade. But let’s face it, at my age, they might call the paramedics thinking I was having some sort of medical emergency! But I digress.
Giving those of us that are lash-challenged a little help is big business. That might explain why there are a bazillion (possibly a slight exaggeration) new mascaras introduced each year advertised to lengthen, thicken, condition and volumize.
Of course, there are other options, EYELASH EXTENSIONS being a popular alternative these days. Depending upon the type of lashes used (synthetic, silk or mink) one could expect to spend between $75 and $500 per appointment. These lashes generally last from 4 to 8 weeks.
But there’s a brand new, inventive alternative to expensive lash extensions, and it’s so exciting, it’s making big waves even before it’s available!
Enter the newest generation of lash extensions…. advertised to be temporary (clearly they are), reusable (true, although the company does not state how long they last) and requiring no glue or adhesives to apply (now we’re talking).
One Two Cosmetic’s Magnetic Eyelash Extensions seem to offer an exciting instant no-fuss gorgeous lash kit being written about in U.S. fashion & beauty magazines and websites like New Beauty, Allure and the HuffPost before they’re even available ~ you have my attention!
Since this product is not even available until August (although you can pre-order now through their website), we cannot offer a product review. Our goal here at FCO50 is to bring you the latest and greatest beauty and fashion information, so you know “what’s up” before you hear about it from your daughter!
Here’s what we’ve learned about Magnetic Eyelash Extensions from researching the company website.
Lashes are available in four different versions:
- Original Lash
- Bold Lash
- Accent Lash
- Filler Lash
Here’s how the lashes work: There are two sets for each eye, which “sandwich” between your own lashes. There is a tiny magnet on each lash strip and they hold the lashes in place without glues or adhesives. Pretty cool idea, I must say.
Here are our thoughts on Magnetic Lashes, based solely on what we’ve read.
Affordable ~ $69.00 per set
No glues or adhesives necessary
You can wear them and apply your normal makeup products, although the company claims you will not need mascara when wearing these lashes.
Shipping in the United States starting in August, but they hope to be shipping internationally by September of 2016 (great news for our international Fabulously Chic Over 50 subcribers)!
The company does not state how long lashes last
Now that we’ve had a chance to try the One Two Magnetic Lashes, we cannot recommend them. They are difficult to apply and take off, are uncomfortable and for $69.00, they won’t hold up long enough to be considered “reusable” for long.
Stay beautiful, darlings,
Disclosure: We have not yet tried the Magnetic Eyelash Extensions, nor are we in any way affiliated with this company.
